To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit organization which aims to present hope for people struggling with addiction, depression, self-injury and thoughts of suicide while also investing directly into treatment and recovery.
Ok, so we may not all be struggling with addiction or bipolar, but who hasn't had a bout with depression before? To Write Love On Her Arm strives to help shed light on these issues and get people the help they need. Even the date of this event is significant: March 1st is self-injury awareness day. You can show your support of this date by writing: "Stay Strong" or "Keep Fighting" on your wrist. If that's a little too extreme for your taste, then do no more then show up and create. Join us to create two 8x8 mixed media canvas art pieces that follow TWOLHA's: Fears vs. Dreams theme.
Where: The Cannon Brew & Pub [Upstairs Loft] at 1041 Broadway, Columbus, GA 31901
Admission Fee: $35 (Includes: Paint, canvas(es), mixed media supplies & food).
Message us on Facebook and let us know you are coming in advance as space is limited.
Also be sure to check out: http://twloha.com/home for further details and back story on this amazing organization as well as the trailer to the movie inspired by this movement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWbf1gpzqqo which also comes out in March.
